After using it for over a little two years, it got fried in a power outage. The message display says "8" and none of the buttons responded. The manual said to unplug power cord and plug it back it. Nothing.

This was purchased for the home office. For the main home number, the answering machine combined with a phone by AT&T survived the power outage.
