My husband and I are both very happy with this purchase. The speaker phone is great for hands-free communication; voice clarity was Very Good when my husband phoned home on the way to work. He was quite impressed saying I sounded clearer on the speaker phone than the now "old way" of holding phone to my ear. Impressive! As for the handset's Menu function and ease, it was a breeze once I was use to it. The answering machine was not hard to set up. I did that from the handset quite easily. The manual does have lots of codes for quick changing of features, many of which are only good for Caller ID, of course, for which I do Not have. I chose this Panasonic model over one less expensive (same brand) because this one has back lighting which makes reading easier. The look/feel/weight of the handsets is as expected - solid and light. Construction seems very good (the true test will be when it falls and if the batteries fly out!). I also appreciate the feature of turning off handset ringers where just the base rings. Overall, a great purchase and do recommend.

I love this phone. It has all the features that I want, which include speakerphone functions on the base station and the handsets, caller-id, and multiple portable handsets. It takes up a minimum of space on my desk, and is expandable as a system beyond the 2 handsets, each with their own charging stations, that came with it. I recommend this product. I also recommend Amazon. I have purchased several items in addition to a number of books from Amazon, and the service has always been excellent.

HATTED IT>>GAVE IT AWAY FOR A UNIDEN!!?>>>IS IT ME?? or are electrical devices getting MORE complicated to use as the years go by...AND for NO practical reason..if there was a reason to make it complicated than I'd"go with the flow"...but it took me 3-4 days to try and figure out how to turn off the RINGER!!...but phones need not be this complicated to use...I have been using an Apple computer for almost 2 decades now...and people come to me for help...and I know about these kinds of things...way too much information that's not needed by the average user...give me a phone AND an answering machine...very simple life I lead in ONE room studio in NYC...so it does bother me to see that technology leads us to a life of hardships...like setting up a phone...I can see an elderly person giving up the first time they had to read that manuel..I know I was doomed when they had that user manual setup like a CALCULUS model and in a font I didn't want to read...I'm very FUSSY because we all pay the BUCKs for things that are not up to the standards they should be today....and I will not go through the hassle of returning the phone...this all comes down to the people who sit at the table and design these phones, looking for better, when they already have the best phones...just make it EASY PEOPLE who design...but that's just the first step cause there's someone that has to accept the design...so it there fault as well as the designers...and as for Apple computers..they also have gone the way of non-user friendly lately..OMG this last iMac was a total lemon I got and been into service twice..this third time,I am demanding a new computer...and it's just a bit over a year old...I love Apple but not this iMac...but that's a story for another time...the phone..it's nice..big letters,no need for that ID on the base station for me since I live in one room..I will tell you the TRUTH..I only bought out of AT&T cause their battery life was for the cows and my friends were always complaining..its a nice phone but could be better

I am amending my rating on this phone..the main reason IS::: NO ONE CAN HEAR ME WHEN I speak!!...is there a way to increase volume on MY END??...one GOOD thing about this phone, that battery lasts for a VERY LONG TIME!!.. I have to reread the manual AGAIN!!..PLEASE-PLEASE..make these things easier to use
